1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-β-carboline (Synonyms:1,2,3,4-四氢-9H-吡啶[3,4-b]并吲哚; Tetrahydro-β-carboline; Tryptoline)
目录号 : KCM11877 CAS No. : 16502-01-5 纯度 : ≥95%
1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-β-carboline is a serotonin reuptake inhibitor (IC = 7.4 µM in rat brain homogenates) and metabolite of tryptamine . In vivo, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-β-carboline (20 and 40 µg/animal, i.c.v.) reduces serotonin levels in rat forebrain. It induces serotonin-mediated hyperactivity syndrome (HHS) in rats (ED = 48 mg/kg). 1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-β-carboline (6.25-75 mg/kg) also reduces acetic acid-induced writhing in rats.

体内研究

1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-β-carboline (20 µg; i.c.v.) increases the serotonin levels in the same part of the brain in rats.

Animal Model: 180-200g female Sprague-Dawley rats
Dosage: 20 µg
Administration: Intraventricular injection
Result: Increased of serotonin levels in the same part of the brain whereas the monoamine oxidase activity was not altered.
