生物活性

Dihydroisotanshinone I, a bioactive compound present in danshen, can inhibit the migration of both androgen-dependent and androgen-independent prostate cancer cells. Dihydroisotanshinone I also induces apoptosis and ferroptosis in these lung cancer cells. Dihydroisotanshinone I also blocks the protein expression of GPX4.

体外研究

Dihydroisotanshinone I inhibits the protein expression of p-STAT3 and blocked the translocation of STAT3 into the chromatin, as well as suppressed tumor epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) gene expression.
Dihydroisotanshinone I (10-30 μM; 24 huors) has inhibitory effects on the growth of the lung cancer cell lines, A549 cells and H460 cells.
Dihydroisotanshinone I (20-30 μM; 24 huors) induces pronounced apoptosis in A549 and H460 cells in a dose-dependent manner.
Dihydroisotanshinone I can induce ferroptosis in lung cancer cells.

体内研究

Dihydroisotanshinone I (30 mg/kg; intraperitoneally; every 2 days for 18 days) can inhibit metastasis of A549 cells in the nude mice model without adverse effects on mice.

Dosage: 30 mg/kg
Administration: Intraperitoneally; every 2 days for 18 days
Result: Inhibited A549 cell metastasis in nude mice without adverse effects.
