NOC-5 is a stable nitric oxide (NO)-amine complex that acts as a NO donor. It can release two equivalents of NO in solution under physiological conditions without a cofactor. The half-life of NOC-5 in PBS (pH 7.4) is 93 minutes at 22°C, and it remains relatively stable in alkaline solution (pH ≥10.0).

生物活性	NOC-5 is a diazeniumdiolate compound that belongs to the same family of NO donors. NOC-5 is able to increase intracellular XIAP and Aven levels, potentially leading to the inhibition of caspase-9 activity following increased mitochondrial permeability.
体外研究	NOC-5 (5-20 μM) can lead to a rapid increase in NO release on the first day in PBS [1]. NOC-5 (100 μM, 24 hours) only activates caspase-3; After NO donor treatment, caspase-3 activity increased. NOC-5 has a pro apoptotic effect in Jurkat cells, but at the same time increases the level of anti apoptotic proteins.
