N-3-oxo-dodecanoyl-L-homoserine lactone (0.3-1 mg/kg, ip, single dose) enhanced the immune preference of the host, showed immunomodulatory activity in OVA immunized mice model, and improved type 1 diabetes by inhibiting the activation and differentiation of initial T cells.
